Of course, the biggest temptation is to take an invigorating dip in the sea on a sunny day and let the sun and wind dry you out afterwards on the long and wide beach of Oostduinkerke.

But there are also plenty of other bathing opportunities nearby.

• Municipal swimming pool in nearby Nieuwpoort, with slide, animated paddling pool and whirlpool.
• Subtropical swimming pool Sunparks Oostduinkerke, located 3 km from the amuZee holiday home, ensures absolute water fun.
   

The range of cycle paths and cycle routes from Oostduinkerke is almost inexhaustible. You can discover the beautiful hinterland with its many small villages, let the wind play through your hair in the billiard flat Moeren, or after only 10 km just 'over the schreve' cycling and just across the French border to enjoy the delicious picon. Mountain bikers can get their money's worth on the beach itself, or on one of the various marked mountain bike routes.

From the amuZee dune villa it is easy to take a beautiful walk along one of the 130 km of signposted West Coast footpaths. Or just go and explore the hundreds of hectares of protected dune areas such as the Ter Yde nature reserve (1 km from your holiday home), the Zeebermduinen, Plaatsduinen, Schipgatduinen, Witte Burg or the Hoge Blekker.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the 27-hole Ecogolf Ter Hille, located 2 km from amuZee.

AmuZee dune villa is also the ideal base for the (grand)kids. A day of romping in the dunes, a game of miniature golf, a ride with the 'buttocks carts' on the dike, a day at the beach, a visit to one of the surf clubs or the skate park in Oostduinkerke village... No lack of variation. 

From here, it is only a 15-minute drive to Plopasland De Panne.
