Therefore, the tenant automatically accepts the following rental conditions upon confirmation of the reservation and payment of the deposit:

  • A maximum of 12 persons - adults and children - can stay in amuZee. The tenant will be asked in advance to provide the names and ages of the guests. The maximum number of persons may not be exceeded (for fire and insurance reasons). No extra persons can be admitted in the holiday home who will also stay overnight or stay in the holiday home.
  • The tenant is at least 21 years old and must have a permanent place of residence. Upon request, an identity document must be presented. If this is not complied with, we may unilaterally terminate the contract without compensation. The amount of the booking remains due.
  • No camping tents are allowed in the garden-within-a-dune. The dunes are a protected nature reserve.
  • Guarantee: this amounts to 500€ and must be paid together with the outstanding balance of the rent, at the latest 1 month before the start of the stay. The deposit will be refunded within one week after inspection and inventory and if no damage is found. If items are missing or damaged, the cost of replacement and/or repair will be automatically deducted. If the deposit is not sufficient to cover the cost of the damage, the remaining amount will be invoiced.
  • Cancellation or date change: please send an email to info@vakantiehuis-amuzee.be with your request. Please do this as soon as possible and via e-mail. No cancellations by phone or sms are accepted.
  • more than 2 months before the rental period* : free of charge
  • between 2 months and 2 weeks before the rental period*: the advance payment is withheld.
  • 2 weeks and less before rental period* : the full rent will be charged.

                     * Start of rental period: day of check-in.

  • Reservations: the reservation is final after confirmation of the receipt of the advance of 40% of the rent. The landlord has the right to refuse a reservation or a request for reservation if he thinks that the rental is not in accordance with the function of the holiday home.  Also during the rental period, the landlord reserves the right to deny or further deny access if the use does not correspond to the function of the holiday home, if the tenant violates the rental conditions or if inappropriate behaviour or nuisance is observed, caused by one or more guests.  The landlord is entitled to deny the tenant immediate access to the holiday home and to oblige him to leave. In all cases, and also in case of early departure from the holiday home, whether forced or not, the full rental price will be charged and no compensation will be refunded.
  • Good housekeeping: during the stay, the renter takes care of the holiday home, including all kitchen utensils, furnishings, equipment and appliances - both inside and outside - and leaves everything in good condition at the end of the stay. The tenant may not move furniture. The tenant is liable for the consequences of caused breakage, damage or abnormal contamination to both immovable fixtures and fittings of the holiday home, ascertained during his stay or at or after check-out. All costs for repair, replacement or cleaning shall be payable at the end of the stay. If the cost of repair, replacement or cleaning exceeds the deposit, the lessor reserves the right to charge additional cleaning, repair or replacement costs and, if necessary, to claim them through the courts.
